Professional People[Film crews, Documentaries / TV commercials & Programme makers; Entertainers / Performers & Professional Sports People] Persons wishing to partake in any of the above activities in South Africa, and who are passport holders of those countries that enjoy visa exemption (please consult the visa exemption list on www.sahc.org.au), may proceed to South Africa without a visa and enter on their visa exemption for a period up to but not longer than the visa exemption period applicable to that particular country. On arrival at the South African port of entry, the traveler must provide the Immigration Officer with letters from both the organizations (departing country and South African counterpart) on the organizations’ official letter heads, confirming the purpose and duration of the visit. The personal particulars of the traveler must appear in the letters. The traveler will then be issued with a visitor’s permit that will regulate his/her stay and authorize him/her to work during that period. This is done in terms of Section 11(2) of the South African Immigration Act (Act No. 13 of 2002). Please note: Passport holders from countries that do not enjoy visa exemption, are required to be in the possession of an appropriate visitor’s visa prior to entry into South Africa.
