Transit Visa RequirementsVisa restricted passport holders who want to transit South Africa to any one of South Africa's neighbouring countries, MUST apply for a transit visa. The neighbouring countries are Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. Passport holders who want to transit a South African port of entry enroute to any other country, may do so without the need to apply for a transit visa. Transit Visas are NOT issued at South African ports of entry. Please check to see if you are visa exempted: Visa Countries. Check to see if you need to pay for your visa: Visa Fees. No fixed travel arrangements should be made prior to the issuance of the Transit Visa. Five (5) working days should be allowed for processing from receipt of the application. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE MISSION ENQUIRING THE PROGRESS OF YOUR APPLICATION UNTIL AT LEAST FIVE (5) WORKING DAYS AFTER THE MISSION HAS RECEIVED YOUR APPLICATION. Entry will not be permitted on a one-way flight ticket. The prescribed visa fee is NOT payable for persons traveling on a DIPLOMATIC or OFFICIAL passport. Entry requirements:
